Instant. Our INSTANT tanning beds are our highest quality level of tanning beds, delivering a rich golden tan with minimal reddening. It's the fastest way to achieve a base tan.

Don't shower for 4-6 hours following your spray tan. Don't exercise until after your first shower—at least four hours after you tan. Shower using only shower gel and your hands. After showering, apply our tan extenders to make your spray tan last longer!

In order to offer tanning sessions at Sun Tan City on your schedule, tanning visits are first-come, first-serve. However, you can check-in to tan in when you're logged in and on our App!

Level 3 offers medium pressure lamps with lower UV rays and more UVA rays, providing a faster and deeper tan than Level 1 and Level 2. And finally Level 4 tanning beds (and up) feature ridiculously fast tanning times, with sometimes next to zero UVB rays, guaranteeing a dark tan with virtually no chance of a sunburn.

Recommended Frequency of Tanning Bed Use

Each session should be brief, around 3-10 minutes, depending on your skin type. After the initial week, if your skin is responding well (no burns or excessive redness), you can gradually increase your sessions to three to four times per week.

Dry skin reflects UV light, which can inhibit the tanning process and increase the risk of skin damage. Tanning lotion helps to keep the skin hydrated, allowing for a deeper, more even tan while reducing the potential for skin damage.

How to get the best results from a tanning bed? ›

Some tanning beds will have buttons for you to personally control the fans that circulate the air, or some will have separate light bulbs you can turn on and off to tan your face. Depending on the salon, you may also have to close the lid to the tanning bed and turn the machine on when you are ready to start.

Many people go on the sunbed in a bikini or their underwear or even completely naked. In depends on you and the tan lines that you want to have after the tanning session. If you tan naked just take care of the most sensitive areas.

Daily UV exposure can cause skin damage. However, if you wait too long between indoor tanning sessions, your tan may start to fade. Most indoor tanning professionals recommend 3 tanning sessions a week until a tan is developed, and then 2 each week after that to maintain the tan.

Please bring loose dark clothing to wear straight after your tan. Anything that is tight like leggings, a bra, tight shoes and/or socks will rub the tan off causing the tan to look uneven. Even be careful with glasses or sunglasses. Please be careful when you put your seat belt on because this may also rub the tan off.

High-pressure sunbeds use lamps that emit more UVB radiation, which is the most effective type for stimulating melanin production, the pigment that gives your skin its colour. Although they tend to be more expensive than low-pressure beds, they offer more efficient tanning results.
